Rating/Response: 3 This book has cute illustrations, and the story is very sweet.

One question you would ask before a read aloud: Have you ever had something that you were attached to, but your parents made you get rid of it?

Rationale for Strategy: This book is a cute story, and it is one that almost every student can relate to.  I also think that it would make a great opportunity for a writing prompt that many students would enjoy.
