Rating/Response: 4 This book has beautiful illustrations, and the story is sweet.  It is also relatively short so it would make a great quick read aloud.

One question you would ask before a read aloud: Have you ever seen something that you really wanted, but you had to work really hard to get it?  What were you willing to do to get what you wanted.

Rationale for Strategy: This book doesn’t really fit in any other category, but it is a very well written and illustrated.
