Brief Annotation: This book is about a rat name Pinch who likes to hoard everything from old magazines to games and toys. His town was having a neighborhood tag sale and Pinch was not too happy about selling any of his stuff. As he watch everyone around him buying products from other neighbors, he wanted to sell it too. Eventually he sold all of his stuff and was able to make enough money, but instead of buying new things he donated to grow a tree for the town.

Rating/Response: 4 I rated this book the way I did because this book has a moral to the story. If you no longer need the item someone else can enjoy it.

Rationale for Strategy: This book is a great book to introduce recycling. If there is leftover things from garage or yard sales the students can donate it or recycle it.
